gwynlen: I feel this may be too late, but..

Does anyone know if you need to pre-order the book in order to get a copy at one of the Midnight Release Parties?  Specifically, the Barnes and Noble one?  A friend and I are planning to attend, yet neither of us has pre-ordered, assuming we could just wait in line.  Does anyone know how this is gonna work?

Hi! *waves from Los Angeles* I'm working with the B&N people here (nothing official), but my understanding is the book store needs to know how many books to pre-order, hence the reserving a copy thingy.

I'd see what the local manager does there if I were you, just to be sure. Also, some of the employees are many times unaware of the amount of people this will attract to their store, so make sure you ask the person who has some concrete info:D
